Kaizen Gaming’s brand, Betano, has taken over as Aston Villa’s primary sponsor, replacing the club’s prior jersey sponsor.

This is the latest significant move for Betano in the United Kingdom.

Aston Villa, currently performing well in the Premier League and reaching the Europa Conference League semi-finals, will display Betano’s logo on their jerseys for the 2024-25 season. This is a two-year agreement.

The deal with the Midlands club follows Betano’s announcement of sponsoring the 2024 European Championship and the 2024 Copa America, both commencing in June.

Aston Villa’s chief operating officer, Chris Heck, expresses enthusiasm about the agreement.

“Aston Villa and Betano share a common goal of striving for excellence,” Heck stated. “We anticipate achieving remarkable feats together, both on and off the pitch. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both our organizations.”

George Daskalakis, the founder and CEO of Kaizen Gaming, added: “Aston Villa’s impressive performance in the Premier League and their return to European football align with Betano’s own growth and accomplishments.”

Betano has made a substantial impact in the UK with their deal with Aston Villa.

A well-known wagering firm, Betano, has just secured a significant sponsorship agreement with Aston Villa, a celebrated English soccer team. This arrangement follows Betano’s recent introduction in the United Kingdom. It’s a collaborative endeavor between Kaizen Gaming, the entity behind Betano, and BVGroup, a recognized provider in the field.

Betano intends to officially debut in the UK prior to the 2024 European Championships, scheduled to take place in Germany. They have already established a presence in Europe, Africa, and the Americas.

Julio Iglesias Hernando, the Chief Commercial Officer of Kaizen, stated that entering the UK market presents a substantial challenge. He highlighted the significance of having suitable partners, similar to those found in the Premier League. He explained their decision to collaborate with BVGroup due to their strong reputation. He expresses confidence in the success of their partnership.

A new regulation is set to take effect in 2026, prohibiting gambling companies from sponsoring the front of football jerseys in the Premier League. However, this rule will not come into force until the 2026-27 season. Consequently, teams like Aston Villa can still feature gambling companies on their shirts for the time being.

Last June, following the announcement of the impending ban, Aston Villa signed a sponsorship agreement with BK8, a gambling company. This deal was met with criticism from the club’s own supporters’ trust fund.

The Aston Villa Backers’ Group has labeled this action a “desperate attempt to manipulate,” intended to attract funds from betting sponsors while disregarding the potential damage caused by gambling.
