Contender for the UK’s fourth National Lottery license, Allwyn, has teamed up with Vodafone to strengthen its proposal. A subsidiary of the Czech Republic’s Sazka Group, Allwyn, has limited recognition in the UK. By incorporating Vodafone, Allwyn highlights the significance of network infrastructure and advanced technology, such as the Internet of Things and 5G, in modernizing the National Lottery engagement.

Allwyn contends that these technologies are vital for improving player safeguards and will enable them to introduce novel features that cater to changing consumer preferences.

Sir Keith Mills, Bid Chairman of Allwyn, remarked, “Allwyn, as a member of the Sazka Group, is dedicated to enhancing the lottery to become a force for positive change.” He added that Allwyn accomplishes this by revitalizing lotteries and prioritizing participants, guaranteeing sustainable expansion, and generating increased funds for charitable endeavors.

With pioneering collaborators like Vodafone, Sazka Group’s vast expertise, and a distinguished advisory panel, Allwyn is assured in its strategy for the UK market.

The UK Gambling Commission initiated the bidding process for the fourth National Lottery license in August 2020. The existing license, held by Camelot since its commencement, concludes in 2023. The fourth license will have a duration of ten years.

Vodafone UK executive, Anne Sheehan, underscored their three-decade dedication to delivering superior connectivity across Britain. She emphasized the company’s extensive knowledge of technologies that facilitate advanced user experiences. Through their broad range encompassing 4G, 5G, IoT, and fixed-line offerings, Vodafone is assured in its ability to furnish customers throughout the UK with smooth and reliable retail interactions across all platforms – be it in-app, online, or within physical shop locations.
