Allwyn Appoints Andrea Vedral as UK CEO for National Lottery Transition
Allwyn has designated Andrea Vedral as their UK division’s Chief Executive, with an effective start date of October 1st. This decision coincides with Robert Chvatal, the present CEO, moving to a different position within the Allwyn Group. Chvatal guided the UK branch through a challenging phase characterized by lawsuits from Camelot, the departing National Lottery administrator. With these conflicts now settled, Chvatal will return to his post as CEO of the entire Allwyn Group.
Vedral’s objective is straightforward: guarantee a seamless handover as Allwyn assumes control of the National Lottery license in February 2024. Her attention will be on utilizing her knowledge to increase income for charitable endeavors throughout Allwyn’s ten-year period as the lottery manager.
Vedral contributes a wealth of knowledge to Allwyn, having formerly held the position of CEO for Tag Worldwide’s Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) sector. Her remarkable background also encompasses a leadership capacity at Centaur Media.
Justin King, Chairman of Allwyn UK, conveyed certainty in Vedral’s aptitude to manage the shifting terrain of the lottery sector. He emphasized her “vast background in aiding entertainment companies in adjusting to the circumstances and prospects of a data-centric, multi-platform setting,” stressing its significance to the National Lottery.
