UK Gaming Startup Affili8 Rebrands as iGaming Agency

A gaming startup headquartered in the United Kingdom, Affili8, has undergone a name change to iGaming Agency (iGA). This updated moniker, however, bears a striking resemblance to the Indian Gaming Association (IGA).

The rebranding coincides with iGA’s projected trajectory to achieve its year-two revenue goal of £500,000 (US$604,000) following the acquisition of agreements with multiple industry entities. Established in 2020 in Stockton-on-Tees by Chris O’Rourke, Richard Paget, and Chris Sutherland, the newly designated iGA has secured several partnerships in recent times, furnishing clients with SEO, paid search management, social media promotion, affiliate marketing strategies, and content generation services.

Commenting on iGA’s rebranding and accomplishments, founder Chris O’Rourke stated: “Our original aspiration was to develop an affiliate network within the gambling sector to elevate casinos and sportsbooks, but market dynamics steered us towards attracting a significant amount of consultancy work. Operating as Affili8 became quite perplexing for prospective clients as we embarked on this path, as they didn’t anticipate us to offer SEO and other related services.”

O’Rourke elaborated further: “iGaming Agency as a business title is a ‘self-explanatory’ type of brand name that clearly conveys our primary domain of specialization. We are currently operational in 16 nations and are pleased that our diligence and dedication have yielded results in such a condensed timeframe.”

This British fledgling enterprise appears to believe a brand update is the optimal path, though if “iGaming Agency” will yield increased or decreased bewilderment within the UK market is yet to be determined.
