An Australian online sports wagering company, Apple iSports (AiS), is entering the Australian market through the purchase of a 45% interest in the media enterprise The Leg Up Australia (TLU). This transaction, estimated at $750,000 AUD (roughly $500,000 USD), demonstrates AiS’s calculated plan to utilize TLU’s established viewership and knowledge of the horse racing industry.

TLU, which boasts a network of approximately 100,000 engaged users on various social media channels, provides podcasts and wagering membership services, making it a desirable collaborator for AiS’s growth strategy. The alliance appears mutually advantageous, with AiS gaining a presence in the Australian market and TLU potentially reaping the benefits of AiS’s assets and technological capabilities. Both organizations are hopeful about the agreement’s prospects, with a definitive contract anticipated in the latter part of this year.

Elevating Australia” is a remarkable program, and Jeremy Samuel, AiS’s Chief Executive, is delighted to collaborate with their group. They are keen on championing the project’s expansion and increasing awareness of this industry, domestically and globally.

This announcement coincides with a period where Australian territories, such as Victoria, are implementing more stringent gaming regulations, including proposals for more limited venue hours starting in 2024.
